KNOLLMERE BEACH ASSOCIATION                                                    RULES & REGULATIONS

The swimming area is marked by the “big rock” and the “little rock” (near the eel grass).  All boats, jet skis, anchors, and moorings are prohibited within the designated area for obvious safety reasons.  The only exception would be during KBA functions, when everyone is aware of the water traffic.

A guest is a non-member who is accompanied by a member or who is a guest at the residence of a member and receiving the hospitality of that member.

All drivers should be cautious of children playing and maintain safe speed levels within posted speed limits.  This includes the portion of Weeden Road north of the pillars up to and including the corner of Weeden Road and Sakonnet Ave.

To gain access to the beach area, to load and unload only,   all vehicles and trailers must use the 10 foot right of way.  Upon unloading, cars should be returned to the designated parking area and boat trailers are to be returned to the owner’s residence.  The gate at the entrance to the right of way is to remain closed when not in use.

When accessing the beach area,  please park your vehicles on the KBA owned area at the corner of Weeden and Nonquit.  Park parallel to the beach in such a manner as to not obscure any regulatory signage.  This area is to be used only for beach access and short term parking.   No overnight parking is allowed on any KBA property at any time.

A trash can and recycling bin  is provided on the beach to keep the area clean.  All trash and recyclables must be placed in the appropriate receptacle or preferably carried off the beach.  Do not place diapers or garbage in the receptacle.  For safety reasons, any holes dug on the beach must be filled in before leaving.  PLEASE LEAVE THE BEACH AREA AS YOU FOUND IT.

No animals are to be allowed on the beach during the summer season,  between May 1st and Oct 31st,  except (1) to bring an animal to or from its owner’s personal watercraft or (2) before 9 AM  and after 7 PM and then ONLY if no people are on the beach   Animals must never be allowed to use the beach as a bathroom and must always be under the complete control of their owner(s).

Fireworks are illegal in the state of Massachusetts.

Everyone has a right to a peaceful, quiet environment.  Please keep radio volume at a moderate level or use earphones and refrain from leaving radio unattended.  Please be considerate of your neighbors and their property at all times.
